Steve Flores
Chief Executive Officer
After serving as Hope’s first CEO from 2013 to 2015, God brought Steve Flores back to Hope again in 2018. Prior to working at Hope, Steve operated clinics in Los Angeles’ Skid Row, where he directed a team of outreach workers, case managers and psychiatrists, collaborating with L.A. County, the California Department of Developmental Services and the Social Security Administration to provide benefits for the homeless and underserved.
He previously opened and operated a clinic as the Clinic Administrator, and was accountable for providing operations management as a Director of Clinic Operations for a primary care clinic staffed by 54 people. He has also worked as a clinic Community Outreach Director and Communication Director.
Earlier in his career, Steve worked as a General Manager for a major telecommunications corporation, managing a $15 million annual budget and leading nearly 200 technicians, 25 front-line managers, and six area managers, across three divisions. At another telecommunications company, Steve was an Area Manager, where he managed and led 22 supervisors and 275 technicians. In each position, Steve improved service levels and was rated very highly across a number of indicators.
Steve also served in the United States Air Force from 1976-1980
Summer Worrall
Chief Financial Officer
Summer Worrall felt called to work at HCHC upon learning of the unique mission. She believes that working at a faith based, non-profit health clinic that provides excellent care physically, emotionally, and spiritually is the one of the many ways Christians are called to serve. Summer aims to serve all patients and employees with dignity, kindness, patience, and most of all, love. Working at HCHC is Summer’s third non-profit job and the first in the medical field. Summer joined the team as an accountant in 2019 and was promoted to Director of Finance in early 2021. In January 2023, Summer became HCHC’s first Chief Financial Officer.
Hailing from South Carolina, Summer loves to visit family and be outdoors. Summer radiates sunshine, kindness, and Christ-like leadership. She and her military husband have two cats and one child.
Myles Adamson, APRN, FNP-C
Outreach Director
Medical Director - Corporate Center Clinic
A graduate of Texas A&M University, Myles Adamson holds a Master of Science degree in nursing. He has more than 5 years of clinical Family Nurse Practitioner experience and is accredited through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. His clinical areas of interest include pediatric medicine and health promotion. Myles is very personable and intentional when building relationships with those under his care. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and is an advocate for foster care and adoption. He is also active in his local church and values his relationship with Jesus Christ. In his free time, Myles enjoys cycling, disc golf, and anything that can get him outdoors.
Eileen Chavez , APRN, FNP-C
Medical Director
Recuperative Care Center & MLK Clinic
Eileen Chavez has her medical roots in the Philippines. She graduated with a Doctorate in Medicine from Manila Central University in 1996 and immediately found her passion in public health service. She spent the next three years providing compassionate primary care to some of the most impoverished areas of Manila. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing at Laguna Northwestern College before immigrating to the United States in 2000 and in 2019 graduated from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science with a Master of Science in Nursing. She holds a national board certification with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Guided by the vision of God, she found her way to Hope Christian Health Center where she could carry out her mission of public health service. In her free time, she loves singing at karaoke parties, playing the piano, and taking Zumba classes.
Miguel Urena, RN
Director of Nursing
Recuperative Care Center
Miguel Urena has been working with Hope Christian Health Center since January 2022. The mission and values of HCHC align with his vocation to provide nursing care to marginalized and under resourced communities. His interest and desire to pursue a career in the medical field was a result of his upbringing in South Los Angeles. As a child, Miguel witnessed firsthand the need for accessible healthcare services and he became motivated to work in community. After completing his nursing degree, Miguel gained leadership experience as a supervisor in a skilled nursing facility in Los Angeles. He became Director of Nursing at the Recuperative Care Center (RCC) in Las Vegas, Nevada in August of 2022. Miguel strives to create and promote a healing environment guided by God’s teachings. God teaches us to love and care for those who are in most need and he take pride in ensuring that the RCC provides nursing care services that are grounded on care and compassion. Outside of the RCC, Miguel enjoys spending my time with his beautiful wife, son, and daughter. Together they enjoy baseball, family outings, and creating memories.
