After Clinical Hours Support

The mission of Hope Christian Health Center (HCHC) is to provide excellent, affordable healthcare. This includes providing an operating procedure for responding to patients’ medical emergencies after hours. HCHC engages a nurse triage service (Call 4 Health) to provide expert medical advice to our patients during times when the office is closed. When the daily operating hours of the clinic are concluded, the clinic phone line will be forwarded to the Call 4 Health medical answering service.

If you call outside normal operating hours, Call 4 Health will assess whether it is an administrative question to be addressed by the office the next day, or whether the patient needs expert clinical advice.

If you require clinical advice, you will be transferred to a licensed and credentialed nurse employed by Call 4 Health.

  • The nurse will advise the patient whether immediate care is needed at an urgent care or ER.
  • The nurse will provide other clinical advice in accordance with Call 4 Health published protocols.
  • The nurse will record all details of each call in a report which will be sent in a secure (password protected) email to HCHC.

When the office opens again, the appropriate staff will review the call report and reach out to patients accordingly to ensure all requests are followed up on and completed.
