Mission, Vision and Values

Mission

We exist to glorify God as we demonstrate Christ’s love among our neighbors in Las Vegas by providing excellent and affordable healthcare for all.

Vision

In response to God’s grace, we envision a movement of God’s people who choose daily to promote healing as they take part in the redemptive work of Christ among those who feel economically, socially, and spiritually marginalized in Las Vegas. We envision an environment of compassion and humility that allows followers of Christ to use their particular gifts through relationships of mutual respect and to invite those they serve into the community of Christ’s kingdom. Our primary means for accomplishing this goal is through a community health clinic where we will provide excellence of care physically, emotionally, and spiritually to all.

As a community of believers, we envision our actions to be in response to the redemptive work of Christ and His unfailing love for His people. We earnestly long for the heart of Christ to be developed in us, so that we might truly love our neighbors in Las Vegas. If our own hearts are not first healed by Christ, our labor will be in vain. All that we do is for the Glory of God.

Values

Gospel Motivation: Recognizing that God’s unique means of reconciliation, healing, and transformation through Christ Jesus is a gift that cannot be earned, we will love others because God has first loved us.[1]

We will love others because God has first loved us through Christ Jesus.

Prayer: Because God is the great physician, and without God our efforts are in vain, we will approach all we do in prayer from a heart of faith. Because we want each patient to know the Lord as healer in every dimension of their lives we will make ourselves available to pray with them whenever they request.[2]

We will approach all we do in prayerful dependence on God, and will be available to pray with anyone who asks so that He may be known as healer in every dimension of life.

Excellence: Because every opportunity to serve others is an opportunity for God’s glory, we will practice the highest standards of clinical excellence, focus on each individual patient, communicate honestly, and offer the best of ourselves each day to our patients, co-workers, and our community.[3]

We will practice the highest standards of excellence, focus on each individual, communicate honestly, and offer the best of ourselves each day to our patients, co-workers, and our community.

Stewardship: Because every resource comes from God we will seek to make the best use of our facilities, talents, equipment, relationships, knowledge, and all other resources to best serve the greatest number of patients.[4]

We will make the best use of our facilities, talents, equipment, relationships, knowledge and all other resources to best serve the greatest number of patients.

Patience: Because healing happens in God’s time for His glory, we will be patient in the work that God is doing in us, in others, and in our community.[5]

We will be patient in the work that God is doing in us, in others, and in our community.

Thankfulness: Because every good gift comes from God we will demonstrate thankfulness for those we serve, for the blessings in this life, for God’s faithfulness through hardships, and for the promise that all things are being made new.[6]

We will demonstrate thankfulness for those we serve, for the blessings in this life, for God’s faithfulness through hardships, and for the promise that all things are being made new.

Humility: Because God is the Maker and Redeemer of the people we serve, we will approach every situation with humility, considering the needs of others before our own, modeling the humility of Christ[7]

We will approach every situation with humility, considering the needs of others before our own, modeling the humility of Christ.

Service: Because we are not in the health care sector as a means of serving ourselves for personal gain, but rather because we view this vocation as a God-given opportunity to serve others for the sake of the gospel, we will serve every man, woman, and child, regardless of their economic, social, or racial status as though we are serving the Lord.[8]

We will serve every man, woman, and child regardless of their economic, social, or racial status as though we are serving the Lord.

Dignity through Relationship and Hospitality: Because all people are made in the image of God we will give each individual the highest level of dignity by offering communication in their language, maintaining welcoming facilities, intentionally listening, and by providing the highest level of personal care regardless of one’s faith.[9]

We will give each individual the highest level of dignity by offering communication in their language, maintaining welcoming facilities, intentionally listening, and by providing the highest level of personal care regardless of one’s faith.

Joy: Because joy is a result of God’s mercy and love for us, we will rejoice in every opportunity to serve others in the confidence that God’s power is greater than our weakness.[10]

We will rejoice in every opportunity to serve others in the confidence that God’s power is greater than our weakness.
